We had the pleasure of working with Vanessa to create the classic wedding cake of our dreams. Through a cake sampling set and design meeting with Vanessa, we decided on a three tier vanilla cake with almond buttercream. It was a huge hit! We had so many people come up to us with the highest. We even had one guest share that it was the first cake he’s ever liked! When we had to move our wedding date up due to unforeseen circumstances, Vanessa was so incredibly understanding and accommodating. I cannot recommend working with her enough!

We visited Sweet Details for a cookie decorating class with Vanessa and couldn’t be happier with our experience. She has a lovely space, provided great instruction and created a terrific session for our group. We’re already talking about going back closer to the holidays for another session. I had the pleasure of working with Vanessa at Sweet Details for my daughter’s bridal shower gift boxes, and the final result was absolutely beautiful. The boxes were stunning, soft, elegant, and thoughtfully designed. From the refined packaging to the cohesive color palette and delicate details, everything felt elevated and intentional. Guests immediately commented on how gorgeous they were, and many didn’t want to open them because they looked so perfect. Planning from out of state (we’re originally from Grand Rapids but now live in Charlotte) can be challenging, but Vanessa was communicative, professional, and collaborative throughout the process. Her creativity and attention to detail truly brought the vision to life. I’m so grateful for the care and artistry that went into these boxes and would highly recommend Sweet Details for any special event.

Vanessa made all of our dessert dreams come true! We used Sweet Details for our mini dessert selection at our wedding in Battle Creek. Everything was so beautiful and more importantly so tasty! Our guests loved the great selection and small bites.

I started with the classic cake sampling box that Vanessa offers and literally all of the flavors were so delicious. She gives you a big enough sample that you can mix and match the frostings, cake flavors, and fillings to make the best combination. For the wedding I ended up ordering a sweetheart sized chocolate cake with raspberry filling and gave some inspiration photos for how I wanted it to look. It turned out exactly how I wanted and the cake was honestly big enough to share with my wedding party after my husband and I had our slices :) It was pretty last minute on my part, but she was also able to help me get a single special cupcake together for my brother, whose birthday was coming up, and that I wanted to shout out at the wedding. He joked about needing a whole dozen more of those cupcakes for himself because it was so good. Vanessa was so sweet and made ordering a cake super easy. Which was especially wonderful as my wedding was a destination wedding and I didn't know the area well. I definitely recommend her for weddings and any event you may have planned.
